Spearfishing Practice and Workshop – October 2024 – Tuscany Coast and Elba Island

This is an event dedicated to moderately experienced spearfishers who want to spearfish independently with the supervision of an instructor, who is familiar with the Tuscan archipelago and who will be able, if required, to check the technique and give some good advice ;-)
Period – Thursday, October 3 to Sunday, October 6, 2024
Participation in individual days is also planned if possible
Sessions – 4 outings to be made according to weather conditions
Spearfishing areas – Tuscan coast, Cerboli Island, Palmaiola Island, Elba Island
Schedule – 10 am to 5 pm
Boat – Dinghy 5.60 + outboard motor 115 hp
Staff – Captain + Spearfishing instructor: Carlo Boscia

Participation fee including fuel
4 days – € 600
1 day – € 150
Katabasis membership card required – € 25
The workshop is reserved for a maximum number of 4 people per day
The fee includes:
– dinghy outings
– captain/boatman on board
– freediving and spearfishing instructor participating in the fishing trips
– briefing and debriefing of fishing sessions + assistance at sea + shadowing in turn during dives
– personal insurance
– water on board

The fee does not include
– board and lodging
– round-trip travel

Required to participate
– freediving certification
– medical certificate
– membership and membership form
– own complete equipment ( rental possible)

Katabasis is for sustainable, selective and safe spearfishing
Participants agree in writing to follow the instructor’s instructions especially on the pair system, fishing times, size and type of fish, maximum daily amount of fish per capita that can be caught.

If necessary we will provide directions for lodging near Baratti or Suvereto
