Ethical and sustainable Spearfishing workshop

In June 2023 from Friday 9 morning to Sunday 11 morning included (arrival Thursday evening) 3 beautiful days dedicated to spearfishing in the beautiful setting of the Gulf of Baratti in Tuscany ( Italy)
More than just a spearfishing course, the experience aims to be a retreat aimed at those who already have sufficient freediving technique to be able to deal with the themes of spearfishing and to be able to enjoy the teachings on freediving at its best.

TOPICS COVERED
Equipment – Find out what you need and eliminate the unnecessary
Freediving technique – duck dive, finning, gliding, landing, restarting from the bottom, compensating
Variables – the impact of light, current, bottom and the behaviour of small fish
Fishing techniques – Burrowing, raking, ambushing, waiting and drop-in fishing
Safety – Safe freediving is more than just a list of rules.
Environment – Actively living respect for the environment, fish species and regulations with an active, proactive and demonstrative attitude.

THE PROGRAM
– 5 theoretical lessons ( 1 hour)
– 3 long sea trips (2,5/3 hours)
– Katabasis certificate of participation
– Use of rifles

€ 300 + €20 registration fee
max. 4/5 participants

EXTRA
– Possibility of SSI Freediving patent (€30)
– equipment rental (€40 for the whole course)
– refresh of freediving skills doable 2 days before of the workshop
