SSI Pool/Freediver Course Level 1 or Advanced Level 2
FREEDIVING COURSES in Tuscany, on the Etruscan Coast.
In Baratti, at our headquarters from 26 to 29 May 2026, the SSI Freediver course (level 1) will be held with different programs or, alternatively, for those who already have the necessary certification and experience, the SSI Advanced course (level 2) will be held.
SSI POOL/FREEDIVER COURSE (LEVEL 1)
An introductory experience to learn about freediving and its techniques, but above all to understand and love the sea. Open to anyone who wants to get involved, including children aged 12 and over! Followed step by step by an experienced instructor, you will learn the importance of safety and how to practice recreational freediving while interacting consciously with the marine environment.
Participants: 2 to 5 students
Duration: Tuesday to Friday
Hours: every day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
2 sessions of 3 hours (theory + confined water)
2 sessions of 3 hours (theory + open water)
Depth: from 5 to 20 metres
Participation fee
€330 including SSI Freediving certification
To participate in the course, you must be a member of Katabasis 2025 (€25) and have a medical certificate.
SSI FREEDIVING ADVANCED COURSE (Level 2)
The Level 2 Freediving course provides further knowledge for practicing freediving. It offers a more in-depth look at equalization, covering the different techniques for descending along the rope, such as constant weight and free immersion. A course to refine technique and develop greater awareness, without ever losing sight of the fun.
Participants: 2 to 5 students
Duration: Tuesday to Thursday
Timetable: every day from 9am to 1pm + 2 days from 2.30pm to 4.30pm
2 sessions of 3 hours (theory + confined water)
2 sessions of 3 hours (theory + open water)
2 sessions of 2 hours (confined water and open water)
Depth from 20 to 30 metres
Participation fee
€ 390 including SSI Freediving certification
For both the Freediver Course (Level 1) and the Advanced Course (Level 2), you must have
– Katabasis 2025 membership (£25)
– Medical certificate
