Freediving Sailing and Spearfishing Cruise – 24/06 – 01/07 – Elba and Capraia

From 24 June to 1 July 2023 with departure from San Vincenzo in Tuscany and destination Elba Island and Capraia!
A sailing cruise to freedive in the Tuscan Archipelago; spend a week aboard a 15-meters sailing cabin cruiser and enjoy recreational freediving in the scenarios that saw the birth of modern freediving legends such as Jaques Mayol. You navigate in the largest marine park in Europe; and it is precisely here that the Cetacean Sanctuary is located and therefore there is a good chance of meeting dolphins and if we are (very) lucky, even whales.

The sailing school is included in the fee!!
Look at the page dedicated to sailing cruises to discover the activities on board; in addition to the daily practice of sailing, it is always possible to practice recreational freediving or, upon request, participate in a SSI Freediving course. For spearfishers, following the instructions of the captain and the rules of sustainable and safe fishing, there are excellent opportunities to practice their passion or to participate in a course or individual lessons.

The program: Independent recreational freediving and sailing lessons with an instructor included(!)
Itinerary: Tuscan Archipelago (Elba, Capraia)
Port of embarkation/disembarkation: San Vincenzo – Tuscany
Boarding: Saturday 24 June at 5pm
Disembarkation: Saturday 1 July at 9pm
The itinerary will depend on the marine weather conditions and on the crew’s ability and willingness to navigate and will always be at the discretion of the captain
Spearfishing will be ethical and sustainable and always carried out by at least 2 people
PARTICIPATION FEE
€ 710/person + €20 (membership membership 2023)
The fee includes
– Katabasis 2023 membership card + UISP named accident insurance
– Accommodation in cabin for 2 people
– Skipper + Sailing lessons 2 hours a day
– Individual practice of recreational apnea
The fee does not include
– Meals, diesel and mooring in ports that will be managed with a common fund (skipper excluded)
– Bed linen and towels
– Preparation of meals and ordinary cleaning to be carried out in rotation among the crew members
– Freediving or spearfishing course or lessons (optional on request)
